Rosa Mari Darbra PhD. Associated Professor at the Chemical Engineering Department of the UPC with a PhD in Environmental Sciences (2005). Her main field of research is environmental management and risk assessment applied to several areas such as sea-ports, chemical industry, or river-basins. She is accredited by Lloyd’s register as an environmental auditor. She has worked in 16 international projects (11 EU-funded projects) and 9 national ones, being awarded for her outstanding contribution at the ECOPORTS project (2005). R.M. has worked in different EU countries as well as in Australia as a postdoc researcher, lecturer and project manager. Concerning her scientific production, she has published more than 30 papers in international journals, contributed to more than 40 international congresses and written more than 15 book chapters. + info

Marti Puig PhD. Associated Researcher at the Chemical Engineering Department of the UPC with a PhD in port environmental management (2016). Dr Puig is graduated in Chemical Engineering at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC) and holds a research Master (MPhil) at the Earth Sciences Department of Cardiff University. Marti has worked as a research associate in the EC research projects Port Performance Indicators – Selection and Measurement (PPRISM), Policy-oriented marine Environmental Research in the Southern EUropean Seas (PERSEUS) and Port Observatory for Performance Indicator Analysis (PORTOPIA). He has published 7 scientific articles related to port environmental management and presented contributions in more than 10 international conferences. + info

Sara Taghavi Kalajahi MSc. PhD student at the Chemical Engineering Department of the UPC with a MSc in Environmental Sciences (2013). Her MSc thesis was entitled “Determination of environmental water requirement for Wetlands”. In her master thesis, hydrological and ecological models and methods were used to determine the effect of aquatic ecosystem flow on the water quality and the living species. Publishing scientific papers in peer reviewed journals (3) and conferences (3) are sample of her records. Her main field of research interests is management and assessment of water resources. Also, she has 4 year experience in Editing in the STM journals (International Kowsar Publishing Corporation). + info

Pol Jover. Chemical Engineer and Industrial Master's degree student. He is developing his master thesis in port related issues. Currently he is working for Grifols S.A., a pharmaceutical company and previously he has also worked for Fater S.p.A in Italy as a production engineer. He has collaborated for a year with the VIRGIN project on the LIFE+ programme for the European Commission. + info

Guillem Ferré. Industrial Technology Engineering Graduated. Double master's degree in industrial engineering and nuclear engineering student at the UPC. He has a collaborative scholarship at the Chemical Engineering Department of the UPC, assisting in the environmental management research line. He was awarded with two scholarships to study the master’s degree, from DOW Chemical and "Consejo Seguridad Nuclear". + info
